Chicago Small Businesses Supporting Progressive Causes
I know many of us are still feeling numb from the election outcome, but I think one of the best ways we can channel our grief and anger is by redirecting our time and effort into supporting our local small business community.
There are so many businesses that are actively supporting amazing nonprofits, causes, and movements right here in the Chicagoland area. Whether it’s by making monetary donations or simply speaking out publicly against hate and injustice, these businesses have consistently been championing values of community and respect for all, fighting against social injustices, and giving back to nonprofit organizations. I’ve always tried to shout out my personal favorites throughout my social media career, and it’s so critical, now more than ever, to choose local over big box and corporate brands. If you’re in a place financially—I urge you to shop local, especially those who are vocally in support of progressive causes.
